Activate Accelerate Session 4

The MotW that we covered in our Accelerate session this week was discipline, which also works out well for welcoming the new year and all the new habits and goals that come along with it.

We all started by discussing what we define as discipline. For me, I defined it as something that is beyond commitment or determination, but where you have a healthy level of unwavering persistence to maintain your goal, no matter the inconvenience. I say unwavering because discipline doesn’t factor in whether it’s raining or sunny, or whether you have a lot on the go, or whether things get hard or no one is there to support you. Discipline takes place when no one is watching, and it perseveres when things become difficult. Some people may even call you “psychotic” if you're being disciplined about something, because it can baffle people how you're so committed to a goal where nothing can stop you.

Once we all took turns sharing discipline, we then did a roundtable of our monthly goals to end 2025 (which ties into discipline and how you’re going to make sure you achieve those goals no matter what). For me, my goal for the end of 2025 is to have one confirmed collaboration for ClotGuard so that we can begin testing and building right away in the New Year. These then tied back to our weekly trackers and how to make the most of our goals and tasks (similar to what we covered in session 3).

And that was mainly it for this session. Now that we have the guides again for Accelerate, we will end up having more in-depth discussions based on the content provided and the required challenges per week, which is why I’m really looking forward for the New Year and for all this to pick up the pace again!
